The exact informations differs from bank to bank
but the merchant will appear as
"Rebel Software, Australia" or a variant of that

How do I start the game

After installing the game, your should have a link on your desktop "Rebel Strip Poker"

also in the start menu under Rebel Software

ie: START => Programs => Rebel Software => Rebel Strip Poker

I have recently had a system crash and lost all my downloaded opponents for Rebel Strip Poker and the codes is there anything I can do to get them back

1. proceed to the site and download the software cgi-bin/software.pl
2. install the game and free opponent.
3. run the game and get the registration key from the game
4. go to cgi-bin/mypage.pl
5. enter the registration key and click on update
6. then resend receipts

This will send new access codes and the download locations for all purchased opponents

I get a message "Video not available, cannot find 'vids:MP42'

The software seems to have not installed correctly.
please do the following...

• browse to c:\rebel
• find msmpeg4.inf
• right click on it and select "install"
• now try the game
• please report any messages that occur and what operating system you are running Ie: win98 etc...

When starting the game The message pops up "cannot find Shell.dll"

Shell.dll is part of your windows installation. Having it missing suggests that your computer is missing some important files that are preventing it from working

If this system file is not working it indicates that you MAY have a virus on your computer, it also may mean your antivirus software fixed the problem but deleted that very important file.

• First run a FULL virus check on your machine.
• Then start the system file checker
  • START => RUN => type in SFC and click on OK
• this will scan your system for missing files and replace them
• after this then make sure you go to Microsofts website and download any updates
• then run your virus checker again to make sure

DO NOT USE PROGRAMS LIKE KAZAA they are an open invitation for viruses. When servicing my friends computers I refuse to do anything until they stop using such services, I am wasting my time otherwise.

I suggest also downloading lavasofts "adaware" program it detects a lot of spyware.
be careful of spyware removal tools a lot are simply spyware tools themselves

My access codes no longer work or I have forgotten them

After purchasing a new computer or formatting the hard drive your access codes may no longer function. and you need to re-enter them.

This happens if when you re-install Rebel Strip Poker you do not use the same information that you originally supplied to the program.
in particular the password.

If you have your old Access Codes and remember those details then

• Delete the file called "rebel.key"
• Start the game
• When asked answer no to reusing the old Registration
• Enter the information
• start each opponent and enter their access codes.

If you do not have the old access codes or do not remember your password

• Start the game
• Click on Registration
• Copy down your Registration Key
• Go to My Page
• Update your Registration Key (if required)
• Resend your receipts, they will have the (new) Access Codes on them

Video errors associated with Lisa or Bindy in the shower

The main cause of video errors with these two opponents is an incorrectly installed CODEC
it is easy to fix.

• Browse to c:\Rebel (or wherever the game is installed)
• Find "msmpeg4.inf" right click on it
• Select install from the menu
• Restart the game

If this doesn't solve your problem then see the following error messages :

NOTE after reinstalling your video drivers always do the above steps again

download and run this file mmsystem296.exe <== click on the link and "run/open from location"

try the above fix if it doesn't work

You probably don't have all the drivers installed

How to uninstall and reinstall your video drivers

1. Open Control Panel
2. Open Add / Remove Programs
3. click on the Windows setup tab
4. Scroll down to Multimedia
5. Make sure it has a tick against it,
6. If it already has you will need to unload it and reload it again
• clear the tick
• click on ok
• restart your computer
• do the next step
7. If it hasn't got a tick, Highlight it by clicking on it
8. click on details
9. select required items
10. make sure Audio Compression AND Video compression have ticks
11. Click ok
12. Click ok
13. restart your computer
14. go to control panel
15. open multimedia
16. open advanced
17. click on the next to audio compression Codecs
18. you should now find IMA ADPCM and ADPCM codecs
19. Make sure that they are enabled by clicking on the properties button for each

Sometimes you may need to uninstall your multimedia and reinstall it to get everything working properly,

Your "rebel.hlp" file contains instructions for this. start the game and press F1 to open the help file

Plays full Screen

Video shouldn't run full screen, it should be in a window.

• Go to control panel.
• Select Multimedia.
• Click the Video tab.
• Select windowed at original size. that should play it correctly.

NOTE: Do the reverse if you want it to play full screen

Game works, but no video and I get the message "Unable to load Liela" or
"unable to find girlfrnd.rpv"

Most probable causes are...

1. You haven't downloaded the FREE girlfriend file http://www.rebel.com.au/spfw/opp/girlfriend.htm

OPN, RPV and RPA files are the data files associated with Rebel Strip Poker, and contain the data necessary to play the game and show the video portions

Lost Password

when you first started the game you were asked to give a password, that is what is being requested

If you did not enter a password there is a few reasons

1. The computer is not yours => Don't touch other peoples toys
2. Your Roommate has been at your computer => Kick his/her butt
3. The computer is secondhand and the game was previously registered => You really should wipe your hard drive and start again, you never know what you will catch...

*NOTE*
Rebel Strip Poker V1.4 allows you to delete the rebel.key file and start again.

This can be caused by a multimedia codec not being installed correctly, recently Micrsoft chose to stop including the required codec with its XP range

Internal Software Failure

This problem is caused by a "hack"

An attempt to break Rebel Software's copy protection.

Download Rebel Strip Poker ™ V1.4 or higher

This will fix the problem

• you need to upload a fresh copy of Zap
• Click here http://www.rebel.com.au/zap/index.htm

• Possible causes are
• Network Errors
• Modem Errors
• Hard Disk Errors
• Proxy server problems

The most common cause for this is not setting your proxy server correctly.

• Start safeGet and click on options to get to the proxy settings

• It is best to use the default settings (provided by Internet Explorer) click use default and then click open Internet options to access the settings
  you will have to contact your ISP for the correct settings

   

Uninstalling Zap™

To completely remove Zap™ from your system please download and run this very small utility
